I look forward to an exciting year as President of the Rotary Club of
Fremont. Working together as a team, it is our goal to use the
collective strengths of our membership to create a club our local
community is proud of, whose goal is “service above self.”
From 1926 our club has been involved in many local projects. Some of
the recent ones include the Food Pantry, Liberty Center, DARE, Rails to
Trails, and Camp Yukita (Misty Meadows) to name a few. We will review
all our projects that tied to our club and evaluate what their needs may
be. Also our goal is to find several local projects that our entire
membership will support and participate actively by using our strengths
in leadership, financially and brawn to complete as a collective club.
The board will bring several ideas to the club membership for open
discussion. We then will decide which project will have the greatest
positive impact on our community and meets the “4 Way Test”.
Of course, we will continue to increase our active membership as well as
give direction to those members who are interested in achieving the Paul
Harries Fellows, to help the continuation of Rotary’s fine international
work. Our founder, Paul Harris started Rotary in 1905, in Chicago, to
impact their community as well as advance goodwill though out the world.
Let’s have a great year!
Yours in Rotary
Rob Lytle
